About 25 years ago, we started growing flowers specifically for dried floral ar rangements, selecting just the right plants that would result in beautiful, colorful blossoms when naturally air dried.
Today, we grow 5 acres of flowers, preserved foliages, and ornamental grains, and offer these beautiful plants for home and retail decoration.
Guests love to stroll our rolling, brilliantly hued fields, with more than 53 varieties of plants, including solidago, flax, wheat, peppers, fever few, gomphrena, salvia, statice, artemisia, and celosia.
Around June, we begin cutting the flowers. They are then taken to our drying barn, an impressive structure that measures 95 feet by 40 feet, built in 1910. In the huge loft area, the flowers are tied loosely in bundles and suspended in 20 and 25 foot strands to naturally dry in the warm air of the barn loft.
Guests are very welcome to visit the loft and enjoy the fascinating variety of colors and scents in what might be considered one of the world's largest potpourri.
In the Gift Shop on the first floor, you'll enjoy an extensive array of carefully made wreaths, noseguys, swags, centerpieces, baskets and various other unique arrangements of these astounding dried flowers and plants. The shop also features a considerable line of candles, gifts, crafts, and gardenware. Seasonal decorations and gifts are also a specialty, from Mother's Day to Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas.
